So the 10 day countdown begins today! The weekend after next I will be down at the NEC in Birmingham waiting to be called onto stage. I’m starting to get a bit nervous now; not about how well I will do, but about what people close to me will think. I’m putting myself in a position where nothing is hidden – I’m opening myself up to all those people who laughed at me in high school too. But do you know what? I don’t care. This is going to build my confidence so much and it will be a massive motivation for many people who were in the same position as me.
The supplements I’ll be taking, my diet and even my drinking habits are going to be chopped and changed so much these next few days in order to dry my body out as much as possible ready for being on stage. I’m also going to have to be waxed, tanned and pampered; which I’ll probably enjoy so no complaints on that front!
Summer is starting to show itself in England now; there are so many events and birthdays around this time of the year – which couldn’t be any worse for me right now! Having to sit in a restaurant or walking about a fair like on May-day a couple of days ago seeing all the amazing (pretty normal, actually, but the way I see it!) food and smelling is just torture! I’m genuinely starving all the time. All I keep thinking about is the breakfast menu available the morning after my competition in the airport!
